Reading Time: 1 minute

I recently had an issue where the iDrac7 webpage was just unresponsive. This issue is caused by a bug in the iDrac firmware that causes it to become unresponsive over time. The updated firmware is listed on the iDrac7 page.

Quick reading showed that the only way to reset the iDrac was to turn off the power to the entire server! Fortunately, that is not the only option. On the back of my server, near the iDrac is a little button labeled with an “i”. Hold that down for about 20 seconds and that will reset the iDrac and you will be able to get back in. I highly recommend updating your iDrac as soon as possible.

Update: I recommend updating your BIOS first so you do not have to deal with a reboot loop issue that I did.
